What is EFT?
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is a very powerful
self-help tool which is easy to learn, non-invasive, and
simple to use. Tapping your fingers gently on your
meridian lines (your acupressure/acupuncture points) can
bring very rapid and profound results, often clearing
issues which have become a chronic presence in your
life. When using EFT correctly, all your memories
of past situations remain, but the emotion which was
unhappily unresolved gets released - removed from that
memory. You have the same memories; they just no
longer feel upsetting to you.
EFT can successfully resolve emotional traumas, from the
relatively mild, "Mum loved you best" family turmoils up
to and including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
in soldiers returning from conflict.
Physical pain, even chronic issues like arthritis,
fibromyalgia, or accident related injuries can be
greatly reduced or entirely eliminated through using
EFT.
Stress can be a major negative underlying factor of all
health issues and can block you in achieving your goals.
Chronic/emotionally charged stress causes brain fog,
blocking your ability to think clearly, make good
decisions or focus on your goals. Whether those
goals are career/financial/abundance related,
relationship or personal; including weight loss,
self-development or health based, EFT can assist
in reducing the stress that holds you back.

& Emotional Pain Relief
When you feel overwhelmed, THAT’s the time to stop and
do a quick EFT session!
Pain Relief example –
Your fibromyalgia is taunting you. You feel that
stabbing, pinching reminder in your back. You want
to feel better than this! You decide to take
action to improve your day. EFT works for the
entire body, not just the back. Use EFT here!
Start with the karate chop point on your hand.
Then tap the crown of your head, your inner eyebrows,
outside corner of your eyes, under your eyes, under your
nose, between your collarbones, under your arms, and
back to the crown of your head. Breathe in ... and
out ... a big sigh ... and Relax.
In less than a minute, you might notice that something
has already shifted in your back and you’re feeling
better. You can think a little more clearly, but
the discomfort is still there. Go ahead and repeat
your EFT tapping. Notice that you’re feeling
better now. You can use EFT as many times as you’d
like. There are no drug side effects with EFT!
Stress Release example -
You’re at work. The boss just handed you a new
stack of files. Your shoulders and stomach are
starting to tense up. Use EFT here! Start
with the karate chop point on your hand. Then tap
the crown of your head, your inner eyebrows, outside
corner of your eyes, under your eyes, under your nose,
between your collarbones, under your arms, and back to
the crown of your head. Breathe in ... and out ...
a big sigh ... and Relax. In about a minute you'll
notice that your shoulders feel more relaxed and you’re
breathing easier. THAT’S the power of EFT!
To avoid onlooker’s reactions, you can do your EFT
tapping privately, in the washroom. To keep that
privacy, remember to silently recite the
release phrases, instead of speaking them aloud.
Weight Loss example -
You’re walking into the grocery store. You grab
hold of a nearby grocery cart and pull out your shopping
list. You say to yourself, “I’m only getting the
items on the list this time, Focus!” Your grocery
cart seems to have a mind of it’s own. It steers
itself over to the cookie aisle. You’ve lost
control of the cart! What’s worse, it seems like
the shelved cookies have grown legs - leaping into your
cart yelling, “Eat me! Eat me NOW!”
Do you hear that command
and feel you must obey? To discharge that thought
pattern start doing EFT! EFT works to help you
feel in control, and it changes your relationship with
food. Use EFT here! Regain control over
those wilful cookies. Leave them under wraps - on
the shelf. Start with the karate chop point on
your hand. Then tap the crown of your head, your
inner eyebrows, outside corner of your eyes, under your
eyes, under your nose, between your collarbones, under
your arms, and back to the crown of your head.
Breathe in ... and out ... a big sigh ... and Relax.
In 30 seconds or so you notice a change. You’re
feeling more relaxed and able to focus on getting only
the shopping list items. EFT has done it again!
Use EFT as often as you need, to stay focused.
Notice you’re feeling calm now and you turn your cart
down another aisle. Look in your cart - No
cookies! Yay! You are an amazing EFT
champion!
OK, you
may not tap in the grocery store, but tapping when you
are standing
in
front of the fridge door
late at night could save you twenty pounds!

Dr. Janice Smylie has been using EFT

2003 and teaching EFT since 2004.
I have attended major training events and have done some personal
work with Gary H. Craig, the creator of EFT. In 2003 and
afterwards I attended a Borrowing Benefits Conference, two
Conferences on Serious Diseases, and I was also invited
to be part of an EFT
Masters training program.

Gary H. Craig created EFT based on the work of Dr. Roger
Callahan
More than twenty years ago, Gary H. Craig created
Emotional Freedom Techniques, based on simplifying the
work of Dr. Roger Callahan who discovered ‘psychological
reversal’ (negative energy polarity) could be eliminated
by tapping on the body's meridian lines.
Gary Craig, a student of Dr. Callahan's, worked out a general routine of tapping
which included
all the main meridian lines. This general routine,
which he named Emotional Freedom Techniques, was easy to learn. Benefits of EFT are now being recognized.
Use of EFT
has been shown on TV and in magazines around the world. Clinical
studies have been printed in Australia and more studies
are under way.
